Find Full Text of Articles

Please contact the librarians for help getting the full text for articles you are unable to access. Never pay for articles; the Library can almost always get them for you for free!

Always use the library to start your search. This will let you easily access the full text of journals we have subscribed to or easily request articles for those we don't.

If you have a dedicated workstation, there is a browser extension that can direct you to full text from the library as you research online. If you use follow-me desktop (badge access) to get on a computer, you will need to reinstall this extension each time because it won't follow your profile.

Look for the full text links content on the right of the abstract. There may be three options shown.

  • Publisher's icon - this will take you to the publisher's website, but we may not have licensed or free access to the full text.
  • Free access, often through PubMed Central (PMC) - this should usually provide you with free access to a PDF copy.
  • Cook Children's icon - this will
    • Either take you to the full text if the Library has a subscription to that journal
    • OR take you to a dialog box where you can enter your name and email address to request a PDF copy through the library.
